Bad day at work - good day at home

I don't complain about work much. Work is work, what can you do? Today was different. Today was bad. I can do without days like today. Stress, deadlines, and complexity, it all makes for a pressure building mind-numbingly bad day. But, what can you do? Macallan helps, a good Scotch goes a very long way towards bringing a bad day to a nice close, that and a little AoE.

Tomorrow promises to be worse, oh boy.

Joe...mind if I finish off the last of that bottle? The past two weeks of work have been hell for me too! I don't know if it's because the year is almost over, because I've put so much work off during school that now I'm behind, or just pure irony....but it seems like I can't get a damned break. Either I'm drowning in work at work....or I'm drowning in work at school. I'd rather be drowning in a bottle of Macallan than in work. Save me a shot brother!!! By the way. Have a great X-Mas big-guy! I'll be in San Diego the whole time, but the old team should really get together around the new year! BTW, I'll be in Vegas on New Years, so if you never hear from me again...it means I died of whiskey poisoning sometime around the 2nd of the new year.

2004 is going down as the worst year I've had in a long while. I think my average work week is running at about 50 hrs, which is not bad. School is running at about a 30 hours a week commitment, plus the stress of tests, papers, grades, and at work add audits, deadlines, and other BS... oh man, this year has sucked. Someone recently told me one of my distant co-workers (meaning they don’t actually work with me, but fell free to comment on my activities as if they did) thought I was lazy, I laughed and thought to myself, I'm not lazy, I'm just conserving energy.

2005 needs to be better. 2005 will be better; I have the power to make it so.

BAD yep. Bad. Bad month at work for me. Bad year. BUT great year outside of work. So ...Bad day at work; good day at home.

My new motto.
