The wheels of justice turn slowly

Or in the case of youth pastor Clayton Pruett, the wheels do not turn at all. Pruett had his charges dismissed because an investigator failed to show up for a hearing. What was Pruett accused of?

Pruett was arrested Dec. 14 and accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Pruett had been placed on paid voluntary administrative leave by the church until the case was resolved. He also was suspended without pay by Bullitt County Public Schools, for which he had worked as an assistant wrestling coach and substitute teacher.

Clayton Pruett future is uncertain. His church has not made a decision about letting come back. My guess is they will wait until the Sheriff determines if it will pursue it's case. In the mean time, Pruett has busied  himself by suing his alleged victim's mother, accusing her of slander, libel and defamation.
